Information the public explorer uses
Public map and research pages can be used without an account. Browser-local storage may be used for product preferences or cached public datasets. The Atlas should not place sensitive personal information inside public mineral records.
Account information
When production authentication is enabled, account services may process identifiers such as email address, authentication metadata, saved locations, watchlists, saved searches and account preferences. User-scoped research data must remain protected by row-level access controls and must not be exposed to other users by default.
Intelligence submissions
If you submit a correction or intelligence report, the service may process the information you provide, including optional contact details, source references and location information. Reporter identity should not be published merely because a report is accepted.
Analytics
Product analytics may be used to understand pages, searches and features that are useful to visitors. Any production analytics integration should be documented and configured with appropriate privacy controls rather than added invisibly.
Third-party sources and links
The Atlas links to external government, company, academic and research sources. Their privacy practices are controlled by those organisations, not by ZimMineral Atlas.
Security and retention
Authentication secrets and service-role credentials must never be exposed client-side. Account and submission data should be retained only for legitimate operational, research, security and legal purposes, with deletion and retention processes formalised as the commercial service activates.
Commercial launch governance
This privacy notice reflects the current product architecture. Before paid subscriptions, enterprise data integrations or materially expanded analytics are activated, the notice and operational processes should receive appropriate legal and data-protection review for the jurisdictions in which the service is offered.
